Hello, this is the Sandoll People Together Team (HR).
In 2022, Sandoll marked a truly meaningful year, celebrating its 38th anniversary and its KOSDAQ listing. Sandollโs steady growth and meaningful milestones were made possible thanks to the dedication of Sandoll members, each doing their best in their own roles. To celebrate these achievements together and take time to recharge, we went on a company-wide overseas workshop (written as โworkshop,โ read as โtripโ).
In fact, Sandoll has held overseas workshops once every two years. This is because we believe that creating good memories with colleagues is just as important as working hard. Over the past few years, we were unable to travel abroad due to COVID-19, which left us with many regrets. Then, in November 2022, as quarantine restrictions were eased, Sandoll set off for Phuket!
Rest to enjoy together, and individually
The 2022 overseas workshop was held at Club Med Phuket on a 3-night, 5-day schedule. As an all-inclusive resort, Club Med allowed everyone to enjoy accommodations and meals, as well as a wide range of activities such as snorkeling, yoga, and tennis, according to their individual preferences. With most of the workshop schedule designated as free time, participants were able to enjoy the experience freely in their own ways.
Right in front of the resort, the blue ocean stretched out, creating a vivid vacation atmosphere. The resort also featured a swimming pool, allowing Sandoll members who enjoy water activities to swim to their heartโs content. Those who preferred quiet time on their own spent moments of calm within the resortโsoaking up the warm sunshine, gazing at the beautiful sea, enjoying a cocktail, or reading a book in comfort.

Group activities are an essential part of any workshop. On the afternoon of the second day, Sandoll members who had been scattered around the resort gathered at the Coconut Garden. With generous prizes on the line, we played mini-games that were both fun and a great way to get to know one another. All programs were planned by the overseas workshop TF team.ย
Truth or False: Sandoll OX Quiz
During the group activity session, a variety of programs tailored to Sandoll membersโ preferences were held. The first program was the โSandoll OX Quizโ! Through a pre-survey, Sandoll members themselves created OX quiz questions based on themes such as โmy own secretโ or โa colleagueโs secret that only I know.โ For example, when a question like โBX Team Kim Yeoreum PD visited a police station twice just this monthโ was presented, participants moved to the side they believed to be correctโO or X. The more interest you have in your colleagues, the higher your chances of getting the right answer in this game.
As the OX quiz was held as an individual competition, the venue was filled with intense energy fueled by Sandoll membersโ determination and passion to win. In particular, it was once again clear that even those who are usually quiet and shy become full-fledged extroverts when a game begins. With unpredictable and outlandish questions, every shout of an answer made hearts race. It was our first experience of an OX quiz that was this tense and sweat-inducing. After a razor-thin showdown, the final winner of the OX quiz was none other than BX Teamโs Lee Yongho PD!ย
Teamwork on full display!: Sandoll Best Photo
The second program was a team-based activity called โSandoll Best Photo,โ in which teams selected the photo that best represented Sandoll. Before departing for the workshop, Sandoll members were randomly assigned to nine teams. That morning, each team took and submitted their best photo around the resort, using movements, people, nature, or objects in line with the given theme.
At the venue, each group also had time to explain the meaning behind their photo, adding to the enjoyment by showcasing fun and original ideas. The Chairperson and the CEO participated as judges and conducted a fair evaluation based on three criteria: โfun,โ โcreativity,โ and โmeaning.โ As a result, Team Eโwho creatively expressed the LOVE sculpture at the Sandoll headquarters through movementโwon first place.
Who is the Sandoll encyclopedia?: Sandoll Bingo
The final program was the team-based game โSandoll Bingo.โ In Sandoll Bingo, each team filled a bingo card with eight words associated with โSandoll,โ and the team that completed the most bingos won. It was important to strike a balance between words other teams would not know and words everyone would recognize. From Sandollโs business registration number to the names of nearby restaurants from its Hyehwa-dong days, a wide range of unexpected words brought plenty of laughs. After a fiercely contested match, Team Bโled by PD Choi Seongwoo and PD Kang Minjae, both highly knowledgeable about Sandollโs historyโclaimed the victory.
The workshop is not over yet
Although the group activities had ended, the workshop was far from over. Enjoying themselves fully and resting well is part of what defines Sandoll members. Everyone made the most of the remaining scheduleโwaking up early for yoga, enjoying tennis in the cool breeze, or heading out to the beautiful sea for snorkeling. Some also went into the nearby city to look around, while others treated themselves to a massage for a more relaxed break.
Looking ahead to the next time
Before we knew it, it was time to wrap up the schedule and head to the airport. Although it was disappointing how quickly the workshop passed, it feels like the energy we gained will help us start 2023 on a strong note. Once back to everyday life, we will likely be sharing laughs over stories from Phuket for some time. We hope this workshop was a gift-like experience that created wonderful memories for our cherished Sandoll members, and we look forward to the next overseas workshop.
