- Sandoll expands its business by connecting its growing user base with Sandoll Canvas, its AI-powered content creation service

August 14, 2026
Sandoll Inc. (CEO Young ho Yun), an AI content platform company, announced on August 14 that it provisionally recorded approximately KRW 8.0 billion in revenue and KRW 3.2 billion in operating profit on a standalone basis for the first half of 2026. Compared with the same period last year, revenue increased by 10% and operating profit by 31%.
The company’s first-half performance was driven by its platform business centered on Sandoll Cloud, Korea’s leading font platform. As the proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (AI) has led to a growing volume of content creation, increased demand for fonts has also contributed positively to the platform’s growth.
As AI tools make content creation easier, a single piece of content can now be adapted into a wide range of formats, including short-form videos, thumbnails, channel-specific images and audience-targeted creative assets.
As the volume of content creation increases, so does demand for fonts used to refine and enhance the quality of the final output. In response to this shift, Sandoll is combining the content assets and technological capabilities accumulated through its font business with AI, expanding its services across the broader content creation process and rapidly growing its user base.
A key example is Sandoll Canvas, an AI-powered content creation service launched on Sandoll Cloud in March. Sandoll Canvas enables users to edit and generate images within a single service, offering features such as image editing and resizing, background removal, text-to-image generation, AI-powered emoji creation and similar-image generation.
By connecting AI-powered content generation and editing with fonts—an essential element of design—Sandoll has seen a significant increase in users. As of June, the number of Sandoll Canvas users had increased by 323% from its March launch level, reaching approximately 4.2 times the initial level. In March, when Sandoll Canvas was introduced, the number of visitors to Sandoll Cloud also increased by approximately 34% compared with the same month a year earlier.
Sandoll is focusing on a market shift in which greater use of AI leads to increased content creation, which in turn creates more opportunities for fonts and editing tools to be used in refining finished content. By providing its existing font content alongside AI-powered creation tools on a single platform, the company aims to create a virtuous cycle in which demand for AI content creation attracts new users and subsequently drives greater engagement with its font services.
In the second half of the year, Sandoll will focus on translating its expanding user base into further business growth. The company plans to broaden services supporting AI-powered content creation, editing and utilization, while combining the content assets and technological capabilities developed through its font business with AI to introduce new services and continuously explore additional revenue models.
A Sandoll spokesperson said, “As generative AI drives greater content creation, opportunities to use fonts and other elements that enhance the quality of content are also expanding. By combining the content and technological capabilities Sandoll has accumulated with AI, we will broaden our services across the content creation process and continue to develop new revenue models based on these capabilities.”
