Sandoll Co., Ltd. (CEO Youngho Yun), a content creator platform company, announced on March 10 that it has signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EduCare, a professional education institution for childcare educators, and Edunet Co., Ltd. an education content company, to promote the cultural value of Hangul and enhance the quality of educational content for future generations.
The signing ceremony took place on March 9 at Sandoll’s headquarters in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, attended by Youngho Yun, CEO of Sandoll, Chairman of EduCare, CEO of Edunet; and other key representatives from the three organizations.
EduCare is an organization that provides education services for childcare educators with the goal of improving professionalism and educational quality in early childhood care settings. Edunet offers online educational content designed to strengthen the professional competencies and job capabilities of childcare educators.
This partnership was established to improve the production environment for early childhood education content while promoting the beauty of Hangul and proper font usage in childcare settings, ultimately contributing to the development of the education and content industries.
Under the agreement, Sandoll will provide access to its font platform service, SandollCloud, to approximately 200,000 childcare educators who are members of the two organizations nationwide. Through the service, educators will be able to use 890 premium fonts and approximately 2,300 free fonts from Sandoll without concerns about copyright issues.
This initiative is expected to enable childcare educators to more conveniently utilize digital fonts when creating teaching materials and various educational content used in early childhood education environments.
In particular, Sandoll plans to support educators in developing a proper understanding of font copyright and using fonts safely when producing educational materials. At the same time, the company aims to help young children naturally experience the beauty of Hangul in childcare settings and recognize the value and importance of Korean typography.
Youngho Yun, CEO of Sandoll, said, “Typography in educational content is an important element that enhances both the clarity of learning information and the overall quality of the content. Through our collaboration with EduCare and Edunet, we hope to expand awareness of proper font copyright practices in childcare education while also contributing to the creation of an educational environment where children can naturally experience the beauty of Hangul from an early age.”
