Sandoll Inc. (CEO Youngho Yun), a content creator platform company, announced that Bakey, its mobile font service, has partnered with Kakao Webtoon, the webtoon platform operated by Kakao Entertainment, to launch a new mobile font, “Iam Dust Bunny Jjangdeok,” in collaboration with the popular character webtoon Dust Bunny Jjangdeok. To celebrate the launch, Bakey is also offering free trial passes and special discount promotions.
This collaboration was designed to expand the use of fonts beyond functional text input into the realm of entertainment, by combining a webtoon IP with a strong fan base among Gen Z and younger millennials with mobile typography. Sandoll and Kakao Webtoon shared a common vision of delivering an experience in which users can enjoy the emotional appeal of beloved character IPs directly within their everyday mobile text input environment—transforming typing itself into a source of enjoyment.
“Iam Dust Bunny Jjangdeok” is a mobile-exclusive font developed using the character “Jjangdeok” from Kakao Webtoon’s popular series Dust Bunny Jjangdeok. The font is available for purchase on Bakey, Sandoll’s mobile font platform.
The font faithfully reflects the handwritten style of the original creator, artist Pennak, and captures the webtoon’s signature soft, adorable aesthetic. A key feature is the implementation of Hidden Dingbat functionality, which allows character illustrations to appear when specific characters are typed in combination—turning the act of typing into an interactive, playful experience. The dingbats also utilize color font technology, enabling vivid, character-matching colors to be displayed in supported environments.
To mark the font’s release, Sandoll and Kakao Webtoon have prepared a variety of benefits for Kakao Webtoon readers. New Bakey app users can access “Iam Dust Bunny Jjangdeok” for two weeks using the complimentary trial pass provided upon sign-up. In addition, three Bakey mobile fonts that pair well with popular character webtoons—Meongnyang Family, UniUni Toon, and Horong Porong Cohabitation Diary—are available at a special promotional price of KRW 1,000. A Kakao Webtoon reader cash reward event will also be held concurrently.
Through this collaboration, Sandoll expects to attract fans from the Gen Z and early millennial demographics, drive Bakey app installations, and increase service trial opportunities—ultimately boosting platform engagement and new user acquisition. The company also anticipates enhanced brand awareness for Bakey as a mobile font platform that enables users to experience fonts in a more enjoyable and expressive way, particularly among MZ-generation fans with strong affinity for character webtoons.
Sandoll and Kakao Webtoon have been actively collaborating to expand fonts as an integral part of content experiences. Moving forward, the two companies plan to continue exploring a wide range of partnership opportunities to deliver engaging, differentiated value in digital environments through close collaboration.
Sandoll will further strengthen the competitiveness of its mobile font offerings by expanding content partnerships based on popular IPs, including continued collaboration with Kakao Entertainment.
