Seoul, November 10, 2025

Creative content platform company Sandoll Inc. (CEO Youngho Yun) announced on the 10th that its SandollCloud web font technology has been successfully filed for patent registration in Japan.

Following previous filings in the United States and China, Sandoll’s latest success in Japan further solidifies its intellectual property foundation for global market leadership.

As generative AI rapidly transforms the web-based service landscape, text is increasingly becoming the primary medium for user interaction across search engines, browsers, and messaging platforms. Consequently, fonts are emerging as a crucial factor that determines readability and overall user experience (UX).

In response, Sandoll has positioned fonts as core assets of the user experience and is actively securing related technologies and intellectual property rights. The company recently signed a strategic partnership with AI-based UX development platform provider Inswave to help enterprises enhance font utilization efficiency and deliver consistent brand experiences.

Currently, SandollCloud web fonts are being used across diverse industries—such as gaming, commerce, web novels, and messaging—to express brand messages vividly and improve user immersion. With fast loading speeds and reliable compatibility, SandollCloud enables businesses to easily apply brand-specific fonts, providing a powerful solution for differentiated UX.

This versatility has led to a rapid expansion of SandollCloud’s adoption, as more brands seek distinctive communication through expressive typography.

A Sandoll spokesperson commented, “The Japanese patent filing marks an important milestone demonstrating that our SandollCloud web font technology is recognized globally. In the age of AI, the new foundation of service competitiveness lies in the font experience. Sandoll will continue to secure intellectual property in major markets such as the U.S., China, and Japan to lead the global market and set new standards for web and mobile environments.”

Meanwhile, beyond web-based services, Sandoll is also expanding into the mobile entertainment font market. The company recently rebranded its mobile font platform ‘SandollCloud’ to ‘Bakey’ to extend font experiences into everyday life and has begun entering the Thai market, strengthening localized font experiences tailored to regional cultures and user preferences.
