The trend of creating exclusive fonts to strengthen brand identity is expanding beyond corporations to private medical institutions.
Sandoll(CEO Young-ho Yun), a content creator platform company, announced on the 28th that it has collaborated with Bnviit Eye Center to develop and release ‘Bnviit-Lasik Font,’ the first exclusive free font for the private eye clinic industry.
The Bnviit-Lasik Font is characterized by its stable letter structure, which conveys trust, and its exceptional readability. In the medical field, credibility is a crucial factor, and this font has been designed to effectively communicate the philosophy and values of the clinic.
Leveraging Sandoll’s extensive experience in font development, the font incorporates design expertise that enhances readability and reduces eye strain. The precise vertical and horizontal balance maximizes stability, while subtle adjustments to the curvature where strokes meet create a smooth yet solid impression. Additionally, the internal spacing of characters has been widened to minimize eye fatigue during extended reading sessions.
Notably, the design of the font was inspired by the LASIK and LASEK surgery process, integrating the smooth curves of the cornea and lens to achieve a harmonious blend of aesthetic appeal and warmth.
The Bnviit-Lasik Font supports 2,780 Korean characters, 96 Latin characters, and 967 special symbols, and is available for free download on Sandoll Cloud and the B&VIIT Eye Center website. It is provided free of charge for both individual and corporate users, but separate licensing verification is required for businesses related to eye care and vision correction, including optical shops.
A Sandoll representative stated, “Branding in the medical industry is a key element in earning patients' trust. The Bnviit-Lasik Font was developed to help medical institutions establish a more professional and distinctive brand identity.” They added, “We will continue to offer customized font solutions that enhance corporate and medical branding, ensuring that fonts play a pivotal role in branding strategies.”
