Sandoll, a content creator platform company led by CEO Young-ho Yun, has been operating the Sandoll Cloud platform for the past decade, leveraging fonts as an entertainment tool and significantly contributing to their expanded usability and popularization.

On the 5th, Sandoll released the results of an online event held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its font platform, Sandoll Cloud.

Last year, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, Sandoll Cloud hosted an online event titled "Create Your Own Font List." Participants freely set their own themes and concepts, curated a personal font list, and shared it for others to vote on the most relatable font selections.

The event results highlighted a strong preference for handwritten and uniquely styled fonts, reflecting a trend where participants used fonts to express their emotions and branding in creative and entertaining ways. Additionally, the findings reaffirmed the widespread use of fonts across various digital content formats, including images, videos, and messaging platforms. The Top 3 most popular font list themes in the event were:

1.Virtual Broadcast Design

2.Cute Posters

3.YouTube Subtitles

This outcome underscores the shift in font usage from traditional print materials to diverse digital and virtual media, demonstrating how fonts are actively utilized in both personal and mass communication channels.

Moreover, the most frequently chosen themes among users’ font lists included posters, cuteness, design, portfolios, and KakaoTalk, revealing that fonts are widely used not only in conventional design tasks but also on messaging platforms like KakaoTalk, further solidifying their role as an entertainment element.

A growing preference for unique and expressive fonts was also evident. The Top 5 most selected fonts were:

1.Egg9 Byeolhaeneunbam

2.SD Jjukku Sans

3.Yoon Kyuppitteu

4.SD Hru Ring

5.Dain Cute and Bold

These fonts are characterized by their distinctive, soft, and charming aesthetics, proving that fonts are no longer just a means of conveying text but are also tools for setting moods and atmospheres based on context and purpose.

A Sandoll Cloud representative stated, "Through this event, we gained valuable insights into users' font preferences and usage trends. Moving forward, Sandoll Cloud will continue to offer a diverse range of fonts, enhance the user experience, and lower the barriers to font usage, allowing more people to easily and effectively utilize fonts in their creative endeavors."
