Sandoll Co., Ltd. (CEO Young ho Yun), a content-creator-focused font platform company, announced on the 20th that it has released three “UNICEF Children’s Handwriting Fonts” in collaboration with the UNICEF Korea Committee to commemorate World Children’s Day.

This project reflects Sandoll’s core value of “altruistic expertise” and was initiated to realize social value through Sandoll’s font-making technology and craft while contributing to positive impact for children. The completed fonts are available for free on SandollCloud, the Bakey (iOS) mobile app, and the UNICEF Korea Committee website.

A defining feature of this project is that the three children selected from the first “UNICEF Children’s Handwriting Contest” visited Sandoll’s headquarters to participate directly in the initial drawing and writing process, which became the foundation for the font development. Sandoll meticulously analyzed the children’s handwriting and doodle elements and also created accompanying dingbat fonts, enabling expressive use in mobile environments.

The newly developed fonts will be used broadly across UNICEF Korea Committee’s official content, including publications related to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, global online fundraising campaigns, and materials for UN-designated international observances.

The three released fonts include: SD UNICEF Hearty, based on the neat and even handwriting of grand prize winner Kim So-yul, SD UNICEF Sunny, capturing the lively pencil strokes of kindergarten division top-prize winner Woo Seung-heon, and SD UNICEF Bubbly, reflecting the strong, ink-textured writing of elementary division top-prize winner Kim Seo-woo.

Sandoll expects this project to serve as a foundation for expanding its technology-driven social contribution initiatives, as well as spreading positive awareness of children’s rights protection.

A Sandoll representative stated, “This project is a meaningful example of Sandoll’s value of altruistic expertise being translated into real social impact. It is especially significant that the children’s handwriting comes alive again in new messages through Sandoll’s technology,” adding, “Sandoll will continue to pursue projects that realize social value through font innovation.”
