Sandoll Inc. (CEO: Young ho Yun), a leading design content platform company, announced on June 19 that it has signed a strategic business agreement with LG CNS, a leader in AI and digital transformation technologies, to jointly promote a global design platform business leveraging generative AI.
The signing ceremony was held at Sandoll’s headquarters, attended by Youngho Yun, CEO of Sandoll, Moonkeun Choi, Executive Vice President of LG CNS, and key personnel from both companies.
Through this partnership, Sandoll is currently developing an AI-based design web editor that integrates LG CNS's generative AI image generation technology into its font platform ‘SandollCloud’, which has over 2 million cumulative users. Beta testing is scheduled to begin in July, with full service expected to launch within the year.
The collaboration goes beyond a simple technology integration. It focuses on organically combining both companies' core capabilities to maximize the competitiveness of the design platform. LG CNS’s generative AI technologies and Contents Optimization Platform (COP) are optimized for large-scale content generation, while Sandoll’s extensive design content assets and user data will significantly enhance the quality of the AI services.
This alliance marks Sandoll’s transformation from a font-centered business model into a content creation platform provider equipped with AI-powered design automation solutions.
Furthermore, Sandoll aims to leverage this collaboration as a stepping stone to enter the global design platform market. According to market research, the global graphic design software market is expected to reach approximately KRW 70 trillion (USD 50 billion) by 2025, currently led by major players such as Canva and Adobe. The combination of LG CNS’s technological prowess and Sandoll’s rich content resources is expected to significantly enhance the competitiveness of their offering in the global landscape.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment in Sandoll’s evolution from a font-focused business to a technology-driven content platform company,” said Youngho Yoon, CEO of Sandoll. “We are confident that our strategic synergy with LG CNS will position us as a competitive global player.”
