Sandoll, a creator content platform led by CEO Young-ho Yun, announced on the 8th that its subsidiary Sandoll Meta Lab, led by CEO Sung-min Cho, will expand its business scope by acquiring BBTREE Co., Ltd. (CEO Chan-woo Jeong), which operates digital stock content services. The terms of the acquisition agreement were kept confidential.
Through this acquisition, Sandoll plans to introduce the first stock image service in Korea utilizing artificial intelligence generative image technology.
BBTREE is a leading Korean digital stock content company that supplies various content, including crowdsourced stock images, videos, and music, from renowned artists and content development companies worldwide to 50 countries. It owns "c," a stock image site, and "Utoimage," which provides specialized stock image content for the Asian market.
By acquiring BBTREE , Sandoll gains access to new business opportunities in the digital stock content field both domestically and internationally.
Sandoll aims to combine the content assets of BBTREE with the artificial intelligence technology of Sandoll Meta Lab to significantly reduce content production time for users through content search, recommendation, and image generation. It plans to enhance its market competitiveness through continuous technological innovation.
With this acquisition, Sandoll is expected to accelerate its growth as a leading comprehensive creator content platform in Korea, expanding its content offerings from fonts to stock images.
