Sandoll, a leading creator content platform (Co-CEOs: Seok Geum-ho, Young-ho Yun), announced on the 16th that it has signed an entry agreement with the global type foundry, The Type Founders (TTF), marking the first time a Latin font foundry has entered a domestic font platform.
The Type Founders (TTF) owns over 20 globally renowned font foundries in the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and others. As a company that supports font production by continuously investing in font foundries, it possesses a wide range of fonts, from fonts used by globally renowned brands to those used by individual brands with unique personalities.
With The Type Founders entering SandollCloud, users can now explore a wide variety of Latin fonts from different countries in one place. SandollCloud introduces approximately 6,500 Latin fonts from The Type Founders, including globally recognized fonts.
Included among these fonts is Proxima Nova, a commercial font widely used on the web since the mid-2010s for its modern design and sophisticated style. Additionally, fonts used by global brands such as Starbucks (Likely), Kinder (Chronic), McDonald's (Populaire), Dole (Thirsty Rough), and NESQUIK (Daft Brush) are available.
SandollCloud initially launches with around 4,000 fonts from The Type Founders in August, with plans to gradually expand the font selection to over 6,500 fonts in the future. These fonts, like all fonts available on the Sandoll's Cloud platform, are unrestricted in usage, allowing users to apply them without limitations.
Through the partnership with The Type Founders, Sandoll enhances user convenience by introducing diverse Latin fonts not previously available on domestic font platforms, while also strengthening its global font service capabilities.
Since last year, Sandoll has been expanding its multilingual font service, introducing Arabic and Vietnamese fonts. This year, it plans to release Devanagari and Bengali fonts. Currently, SandollCloud offers fonts in 14 languages, including Korean, Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Devanagari, and Bengali.
