Content creator platform company Sandoll Inc. (CEO Young-ho Yun) announced on the 20th that it has been selected as an 'Asia-Pacific High-Growth Company' by the British financial newspaper Financial Times (FT) and global research firm Statista for the third consecutive year.


Since 2018, Financial Times and Statista have been selecting 500 companies with the highest revenue growth rates from 13 Asia-Pacific countries. This year’s evaluation targeted companies with revenues of at least $100,000 in 2020 and at least $1 million in 2023. Sandoll secured its place on the list for three consecutive years, demonstrating consistent growth.


Sandoll recorded a 38% increase in revenue from 2020 to 2023, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11%, highlighting the company's growing influence in the global content creator market.


The growth in Sandoll’s revenue has been primarily driven by the expansion of its proprietary font platform 'Sandoll Cloud' and the globalization of its custom font production business.


In the platform business, Sandoll has revolutionized the font market with Sandoll Cloud, the first cloud-based font streaming service in Korea. In 2023, the company introduced browser-based font platform functionality, leading technological innovation. Additionally, Sandoll developed an AI-based font search technology to help content creators find and use fonts more quickly and efficiently.


A key driver of growth within the platform business has been the expansion of the mobile entertainment font market. Entertainment fonts have rapidly gained popularity among Gen Z, who seek to express their individuality through social media platforms like KakaoTalk, Instagram, and TikTok. The growing use of entertainment fonts on these platforms has led to a surge in sales. Since becoming available on KakaoTalk for iOS in July 2022, entertainment font sales have steadily increased, rising more than sixfold within two years by 2024.


Meanwhile, in the custom font production sector, Sandoll has strengthened its capabilities in producing CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) fonts, earning recognition for its expertise in multilingual font production. This has led to increased collaborations with global brands and enhanced competitiveness in the global content market.


Sandoll plans to gradually expand its entertainment font business through strategic partnerships with major companies, positioning entertainment fonts as a key growth driver.
