Sandoll Inc. (CEO Yoon Youngho), a content creator platform company, announced on May 30 that it has launched the ‘My Favorite Hangul 2’ contest through its font platform, SandollCloud, beginning on Thursday, May 29.
This contest invites participants to freely express a single Hangul character in a lettering format, allowing anyone to submit their creative work regardless of background.
Originating from the exhibition ‘My Favorite Hangul’, the contest marks the beginning of SandollCloud’s regular contest series (Season 1), and aims to encourage creative expression while building a sustainable ecosystem for creators.
Submissions will be accepted from June 10 to July 14 through the SandollCloud website, and multiple entries are allowed. After the submission period, a first round of 100 shortlisted entries will be announced on July 29. These will be open to public voting until August 4. Final winners and honorable mentions will be revealed on August 19.
A total of six winning entries will be selected:
- 1 Grand Prize (KRW 2 million)
- 1 Gold Prize (KRW 1 million)
- 4 Silver Prizes (KRW 500,000 each)
Additional honorable mentions will be selected separately.
The contest goes beyond simple recognition. All winning and honorable mention works will be eligible for IP licensing agreements with SandollCloud, providing creators opportunities to commercialize their work in various content formats. Copyright remains with the creators, and they will receive royalties from product sales, with no upfront costs.
In collaboration with IP fandom goods brand Festiver, the six winning entries will be turned into actual products and sold. This offers creators the experience of seeing their work connect with society and turn creative value into tangible rewards.
A Sandoll representative stated, “This contest is more than just a design competition—it’s a new opportunity for creators to express their world and gain real economic benefits,” adding, “SandollCloud will continue to support a creator-centric ecosystem through diverse initiatives.”
