Content creator platform company Sandoll (CEO Young-ho Yun) announced on the 4th that the largest typography conference in Korea, the "2024 Sandoll SaiSiot: Type Conference," will be held on Saturday, October 12, at Spigen Hall in Spigen HQ, Gangnam, Seoul.

This conference offers a variety of programs open to not only industry experts but also the general public, providing an in-depth exploration of the impact fonts have on everyday life and industry.

Early bird tickets for the 2024 Sandoll SaiSiot sold out within just three days of their release, and general tickets are currently on sale. Open to industry professionals and design enthusiasts alike, this event aims to offer participants new insights and networking opportunities.

The main theme of this year’s conference is "How Fonts Change the World." Discussions will explore how fonts go beyond mere design elements to influence branding, communication, and culture.

Several sessions will delve into both the artistic and practical aspects of font design, featuring prominent speakers such as Hyun-sun Go, Head of Graphic Design at Toss, Myung-soo Han, CCO of Woowa Brothers, as well as experts from Interbrand, IlSangSilCheon, and Sandoll. Each speaker will share how font design contributes to establishing brand identity and business strategy based on their own experiences.

In particular, Hyun-sun Go will introduce the new possibilities created by the emoji font developed at Toss, while Myung-soo Han, CCO of Woowa Brothers, is expected to lead an in-depth discussion on the company's font strategy—ranging from the famous "Hanna" font to "Gleam"—and how fonts have been integrated into branding and marketing, as outlined in his recent book Fonts that Earn a Living.

Through these sessions, attendees will learn how fonts have become a crucial tool for communication in modern society and how their influence is evolving in the digital and branding environment.

A Sandoll representative stated, "Font design holds value far beyond simple text expression. This conference will be a meaningful occasion that highlights the impact of fonts on brand identity and communication. The rapid sell-out of tickets is a testament to the industry's high level of interest in font design."

Sandoll also plans to continue hosting various events related to font design, providing a platform for active exchanges within the industry.
