BM EULJIRO

「BM EULJIRO」 is a font inspired by the hand-painted signs of shops in the Euljiro area, created by an anonymous master of sign lettering. It features powerful strokes at the beginning of each character and relaxed, paintbrush-like endings.

「BM Euljiro 10 years later」 captures how the letters on these signs might look 10 years into the future. Approximately 20% of the original 「BM EULJIRO」 appears worn away as its base form. To avoid a monotonous impression, an OpenType feature has been implemented so that repeated letters gradually appear more eroded as you type.

「BM Euljiro oraeorae」 portrays the lettering as it might appear after many decades have passed, with most of the characters heavily worn away. While it may lack practicality due to its difficulty in being easily read, the font is designed to convey the passage of time in Euljiro, the stories of its people, and the memories embedded within its walls.
